Small groups and lines of communication
I’m reading up about small group leadership in prep for the Learn2Lead course I’m running. This is from the book “Equipped to lead a cell community” by Liz West and Trevor Withers.
Within the community the number of contributing relationships is made up of the sum of all the individual relationships … and can be calculated as follows:Number in group = n
((n x n) – n)/2
So if there are six in the group there are 15 relationships, 9 has 36 and 15 an impossible 105. The group size has to therefore be limited so that quality relationships can be maintained.
Why singing is good …..
Colossians 3
15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. 16 Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. 17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Scanning my host
Scanning your host sounds sort of surreptitious and able to find things out …… so I’ve installed it on my iPhone. Hosts beware.

EyeTV vs TVCatchup
I’m very disappointed with the EyeTV app for iPhone. Installed it today and it is incapable of streaming live TV from my MacBook Pro to iPhone on the same wireless network without stuttering. Compare this with TVCatchup on the iPhone which succeeds in streaming live TV over the internet. EyeTV needs a ??100.00 receiver, ??40.00 Mac Software and ??2.99 iPhone App. TVCatchup is free – works through the iPhone’s Safari browser. http://iphone.tvcatchup.com – Time for Elegato to catchup I think.
