Exercise for the over 30s

Begin by standing on a comfortable surface, where you have plenty of room at each side.??
??
With a 5-kg potato sack in each hand, extend your arms straight out from your sides and hold them there as long as you can. Try to reach a full minute, and then relax.??
??
Each day you’ll find that you can hold this position for just a bit longer.??
??
After a couple of weeks, move up to 10-kg potato sacks.??
??
Then try 25-kg potato sacks and then eventually try to get to where you can lift a 50-kg potato sack in each hand and hold your arms straight for more than a full minute.??(I’m at this level.)

Caged – Feeling trapped?

From the 27th June – 4th July Luke Smith and Gav Loftus are locking themselves in a cage, day and night, outside St Mikes. They are doing this as a visual irony. We constantly find ourselves in metaphorical cages, we put walls up around us that make us to feel trapped. But Jesus brings freedom in all situations, for all people everywhere in the world. So they will be talking to anyone who wanders past the cage about this and offering to pray for and with them. We can support them as a community by praying for them, spending time with them and chatting to others (on the outside of the cage!). They are living by faith for the food – so you could also drop them a cheeky sandwich.

Caged

Luke is a good friend of mine – the appeal for food will be genuine!
